WELCOME TO ZARAGOZA

THE BRIDE OF THE EBRO

The Mirador apartments are located just a few minutes walk from the Old Town of Zaragoza.

CULTURE IN ZARAGOZA

Zaragoza is a modern dynamic city that preserves more than 2,000 years of history – from the Romans to the 21st century.

The nerve centre is the Basilica of El Pilar, near which you can find La Lonja, the Cathedral of La Seo and the Roman Theatre.

A little further away is the splendid Moorish Palace of La Aljafería, also currently the seat of the Aragonese Parliament. Nearby, the modern Caixaforum Cultural Centre always offers fascinating visiting exhibitions.

There is of course a wide range of museums including the Goya Museum, the Zaragoza Museum, the Pablo Gargallo Museum, the Patio de la Infanta and the Pablo Serrano Museum.

Finally, on the banks of the Ebro, you’ll find the Expo 2008 site where you can enjoy views of the Water Tower, the Millennium Bridge, the Bridge Pavilion and the volunteer footbridge as well as the River Aquarium. This part of town shows off the modern Zaragoza.

A smart way to get to know Zaragozan culture is using the tram and/or the tourist bus that passes through all the points of interest.

RELAXATION IN ZARAGOZA

Zaragoza is an excellent leisure destination. Its cuisine, tapas bars, shows and boutiques are as fine as you will find in any Spanish city.

Countless restaurants offer authentic Aragonese gastronomy in which, in addition to the must-eat migas and Ternasco de Aragón, we find borrajas, boliches, cardoon, rabbit, snails, Teruel ham, Fuentes onion and a multitude of varieties of local cheeses and sausages. All washed down with the excellent wines from the four denominaciones de origen aragonesas.

And then there’s tapas. In Zaragoza, tapas is synonymous with “El Tubo”, a labyrinth of narrow streets replete with bars. That said, throughout Zaragoza’s Old Town the food is equally incredible.

Afterwards? You can choose from cinemas, theaters and legendary cabaret halls such as El Plata – not forgetting orchestras and operas in Zaragoza Auditorium, with its world-renowned acoustics.

And if shopping is your thing, the Paseo Independencia and adjacent streets have a wide and varied retail offer to satisfy the most demanding tastes.

The reception staff at Apartamentos Mirador de Zaragoza will give you all the information you need, including more hidden corners, so that you can enjoy Zaragoza to the full.

We hope to see you here soon
